Long and Short Stitch, Satin Stitch, and French Knots

Traditional embroidery stitches like these are fundamental to our work and can be used in many different ways. This floral pattern was created using the stitches above for the leading edge of draperies but can be easily adapted for use on pillows, bed covers, headboards, and valances. With this design, as with all our house patterns, the colors and sheens of the threads can be chosen to complement the base fabric and décor.
