Hand-Embroidered, Custom Jute Passementerie over a Linen-on-Linen Appliqued Border

The challenge for Penn and Fletcher in this simple and elegant Roman shade project was to add ropelike embroidery while keeping the fabric flexible. Shown here is our solution: a hand-embroidered, custom jute passementerie over a linen-on-linen appliqued border. These nautically inspired shades are for the master bedroom of a private Bermuda retreat.
